The University of Santo Tomas Entrance Examination (USTET) was conducted last October 3 at the Church of Our Lady of Assumption in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.
Three applicants were initially expected to take the test, but another 6 walk-in applicants also took the examination, including one local Bruneian student.
The USTET was personally given and supervised by the Director of the Office of Admissions (OFAD), Assoc. Prof. Marie Ann S. Vargas, Ph.D., RP, RPm.
The examination commenced from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, after which a brief orientation was held to answer the queries of the applicants and their parents, such as the required documents, submission dates, and other student qualifications.
Assoc. Prof. Vargas said this is just the start of the University’s plan for internationalization, adding that UST is considering to return in Brunei to conduct another admission test next year, to assist the Filipino families residing there as well as foreign students.
The examination was arranged by the OFAD and the recently chartered UST Alumni Association in Brunei.
